Can't Update my AVG

The current version of AVG is 17.7.3032, It seems that AVG got corrupted when trying to install the latest version. Hi,

I can't update my AVG.
It keeps on saying Protection is disabled and when i click on Fix now it moves to the Update screen where it will start the update process but then display that it is already up to date. The only problem I have with this 'up to date' is that the current version shows 17.5.3022 and just below this version it shows a newer version of the program is available (17.7.2314)
This is very much irritating due to the fact that I paid for this program to work without nonsense like this.
Please could you sort this out ASAP…!
