Can't upload/open attachments

Please let us know, how do you access your emails? Are you using any web browser or email client like Outlook, Thunderbird, etc.,? 
Also, please let us know the operating system of your computer.
To narrow down the issue, please turn off the AVG Secure VPN, send any test email with attachments and check the status.
If it works, please follow the steps mentioned in the below article and check if it helps,

If it didn't work, please temporarily disable the AVG Internet Security components one by one and narrow down the issue.

I upgraded my AVG this morning to add AntiVirus and VPN, now I can't open email attachments and or upload an attachment to an email.
