Charged $1000 for auto renew products NEVER USED...Please HELP!

They DID NOT help me successfully.

They stated that there was NOTHING they could do.

I am asking you or anyone else here to help me.

ITS $1000!

How can you say they have helped me successfully.

Can anyone suggest how I can proceed in order to rectify this issue?

Thanks in advance for your reply.

Mate,

Sorry, but I do not understand.

As you will see in the notes, I called on the 12/02/2020 and cancelled ALL subscriptions. He was then charged an additional $500 following that conversation.

I am disgusted that you think this is ok.

Do you really think charging an old man with Parkinsons who can't afford it, especially after his accounts have been requested to be removed, is okay?

What is ok in AVGs eyes about me spending an hour on the phone with my father crying reference $1000 being taken from his account without his knowledge and/or understanding?

He has been robbed!

I am again asking for your assistance prior to making a complaint to the ombudsman.

The remedy I seek is a refund.

Regards,

Michael.

(Apologies, I think I posted this wrong the first time)

Hello,

My name is Michael and I write this on behalf of my father.

AVG have charged him over a two year period (on automatic renew), for products... even sometimes just a day apart for the same product, that he did not want, did not know he purchased and DID NOT EVEN USE.

Unbelievably, AVG have charged him approximately $1000 in the last two years.

He is so oblivious to the account and products that the name on the account was first name unknown, last name unknown. All AVG had was his credit card number and email address.

THIS IS INSANE.

Please see list below....

Here are just some of them...

[Order details removed]

They go on, but you get the point....

Can someone please help me sort this out?

He is an old man in a nursing home and doesn't even use the computer. He has NEVER use these products and never would. I can only imagine they came with the computer that he bought two years ago and tried, but could not really use or some click bait.

I became aware of this issue only yesterday and as such am acting now.

I have just spent the last hour on the phone with him crying as he doesn't understand how people could've taken this much money out of his account without him knowing and/or understanding what is happening.

I am both devastated on his behalf and absolutely furious.

I know AVG is a reputable company as many of my friends use your products, but this is not how a reputable company does business..... by stealing from an old man who not only cannot afford the product, but can't even use the product.

I immediately emailed the refunds team and they simply stated that as it was outside the 30 days they could not help.

Surely this is not good enough.

Can anyone please help?

Regards,

Michael.

Michael, sorry to hear that you were not satisfied with the help received.
I have gone through your chat with the sales team.
The sales representative have explained why the charges were happened and, the fact that they cannot be refunded due to our 30 day refund policy https://www.avg.com/cancellation-refund-policy.
They cancelled automatic renewal for current subscriptions to make sure you will not be charged next year.
I am afraid we cannot initiate refund or prorated refund.
Appreciate your understanding.

Hello Robert.
Firstly, we'd recommend you not to share the order numbers or other account information in a public post.
I see that you have chatted with our sales team regarding these charges and they helped you successfully.
