Hello, David.
We found that you have an AVG account registered with a different email address (of domain @tconl.com) than the one you used to contact us here. You have been charged for an automatic renewal of AVG Anti-Virus 1 computer (1 year) license registered to this email address.
When you purchase an AVG subscription, it will continue until it is canceled (formally known as “Continuing Protection Service”). You will be billed again 15 days prior to the start of the next subscription period. We have sent you a notification email about the upcoming automatic extension 45 days prior to registered email address. The automatic extension can be disabled up to 16 days prior to the start of the next subscription period.
Since you have been reimbursed already, I have cancelled the automatic renewal for this license and assure you will not be charged further.
As per the email I received in reply to my earlier contact, this is in regard to a charge posted to a Chase Freedom credit card in the name of "Susan A. Hollman" although the computer is owned by, and the anti-virus service (several years in the past) was ordered by David E. Hollman. Thus, both of us (husband and wife) are involved.
We have not used any AVG products for several years - our records show 2014 as the last time we did so. However, we had a charge on Susan's Chase Freedom credit card as follows:
03/06/2018 DRI*AVG TECHNOLOGIES $53.49
The credit card company has credited us back the amount of $53.49, and said we are to address the issue with YOU; in doing so, I noticed that your web site says that we have no products or services currently, again recalling the last previous service in 2014.
Hopefully this will clarify the issue, and records will verify that we (David and Susan Hollman - xxxxxxxxxxx@centurylink.net) do not have any services from AVG and should not be charged the above amount. THANK YOU!
