Charged for two separate accounts but only one is needed

During my renewal I changed email address and AVG has now got two accounts for me. They have been charging me two lots of  £74.99 for each account and I only just noticed.
They said they would merge my accounts to use my Google email and give me a year free. They are now saying they can't do this. This company is supposed to protect you from theft and instead they are the ones taking money.
Please refund my payment on my UWCLUB account and close the UWCLUB account.
