Hello Fergus,
We will work together to sort this issue.
Did you put "Google Chrome" app to sleep mode from AVG TuneUp?
If yes, we request you to remove the same from sleep mode and check if that fix the issue.
To remove it from sleep mode, open AVG TuneUp, click on "SpeedUp" tab and select "Background and startup" apps. From here check the applications that were put to sleep mode and ignore "Google Chrome" from the list and check if that fix the issue.
If the issue persists, please click on "Rescue Center" from AVG TuneUp main interface and restore all the changes made by AVG and check if everything works fine.
Hi there, I've just performed an AVG PC TuneUp however Chrome won't work since. The Chrome window opens but no pages will load (tab shows the loading circle constantly). I am connected to the internet and other browsers work ok.
Also, all extensions have been disabled or have crashed (I got notifications for each one that the extension has crashed). I can access Chrome settings and extensions but I can't re-enable the extensions, when I try, I just get the notification about crashing again.
Chrome is up to date and in over 10 years, I have never had this issue before, it started before the TuneUp process was even completed so I'm 99.9999% certain that its a result of same.
Can anyone help? Thanks, Fergus
