Chrome and Microsoft products not working

Thank you. I did not get any error messages.

It's just that when AVG antivirus is activated, Chrome won't open, Word won't open, Powerpoint won't open.  When I disable AVG per the link, everything opens perfectly.  When I re-enable AVG, these don't open again. 

AVG Version:   21.1.3164 (build 21.1.5968.639)

I installed AVG antivirus free version. Now I can't use Chrome and I can't use Microsoft products like Word and Power point.  How can I get AVG to allow me to use them againe?
