Hi John,
We're glad to look into this & help you.
Please let us know the version of AVG installed on your computer (Open AVG - Menu - About)
For better clarity, share us the screenshot of the notification that you receive.
Also, let us know what happens exactly while you attempt to remove the extension from Chrome.
So, issue resolved. Many thanks again.

Thank you.
I have made some screenshots showing a crashed Chrome browser and the error message that AVG sends at the crash point but this chat system itself crashes if I try to add them to this message.
Anyway, I don't think these screenshots will add anything to what I have told you already.
I don't know how to 'reset Google Chrome' because I have no access to other pages once Chrome has crashed.
Thanks for your quick responses but it looks like I shall have to use other browsers for the time being.
Best regards
John Howard
Is there any way of disabling this function at the AVG dashboard
Thank you for your quick reply.
AVG Internet Security 21.3.3174 (build 21.3.6164.660)
When I open Chrome, the page appears as normal with bookmark tabs etc, but I cannot go anywhere from here (including to the Extensions page). Clicking on anything does nothing. Initially, I got a small box bottom right reporting the message given above. This has stopped appearing now so I cannot screenshot it. Clicking on the balloon did nothing.
My AVG dashboard shows "Chrome ENABLE EXTENSION" but clicking on this also does nothing.
I have the extension working OK on Forefox and Edge (at the moment). My guess is that Google has taken exception to the AVG Ad Blocking function, so it would be nice to know how to get out of this loop.
I hope this helps.
Thanks. John

Any other ideas?
Thanks.
