Clear Shredder Logs

Hi Patrick,

We're glad to look into this & help you.
From your description, we're uncertain whether you're looking to shred the files that are already deleted.
Would you be so kind to clarify it for us? If possible, share us the screenshot of the logs to which you refer for better clarity.

Hello Patrick,

My name is Jovana and I'm with AVG senior support.

Please note that it is not possible to shred to log that AVG Shredder creates, however you can disable Self-Defence and then delete the file in Windows Safe Mode.

To do so, go to your AVG AV app > Menu > Settings > General > Troubleshooting > Disable "enable Self-Defence" checkbox

Then reboot your device in Safe Mode and delete the file.
If needed, you can see how to reboot in Safe Mode here:

Restarting Microsoft Windows in Safe Mode (https://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?l=en&urlName=AVG-Restart-Windows-Safe-Mode&supportType=home)

I hope this clarifies and helps. Feel free to write back if you have any further questions.

Enjoy your day!

Hello,
I want to shred the shredder logs from the AVG shredder. How do I do that?

Hello,

thanks a lot. Could you also explain where the logs are stored, too?

This is not what I mean! I mean the log AVG creates when shredding goes wrong. It saves a log file which includes the file name of the file it was NOT able to shred. That's my issue.
