Code for activating antitrack on pc is not accepted in format given at purchase

Attempts to activate AntiTrack on PC are unsuccessful due to process not accepting activation code format given at purchase (code received is in 3 groups of 6 characters with dashes between them which is 20 characters).
Entering in the given format directs to use a different format that is incompatible with as purchased code (process directs to use format of 5 groups of 4 characters with dashes between groups which is 24 characters).
Multiple attempts lead to failure to install on PC.
Please give details to remedy this situation.
