Hello Tim,
We apologize for the inconvenience caused.
May I know the version(2015 or 2016) of AVG program installed on your system?
Have you updated your AVG Internet Security to latest virus definition and tried to scan  data1.cab file?
Thank you.

Have you logged in as Administrator on your system? To check please refer the article http://avgclick.me/1wpgN2U and let us know.
Thank you.

Chris,
Sorry for the trouble. This might be a false detection, if you are sure about the application then please choose ignore. Could you share the screenshot https://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?l=en&urlName=How-to-create-a-screenshot&supportType=home of it? Make sure that you have latest version of AVG 2017 (17.9.3040).

I am currently using AVG Internet Security 2014 with the current updates.
I have scanned to file . attachedUser-added image

I have done what you suggested and now it reports as follows:User-added image

Hello Tim,
Thank you for the information. I suggest you to remove the old version using "AVG Remover tool"( http://aa-download.avg.com/filedir/util/AVG_Remover.exe ). Please restart to complete the uninstalling process. After running AVG Remover, you may need to manually uninstall/delete any remaining AVG applications from 'Control panel' and also 'search' for a folder "AVG Remover"(usually in 'C' drive) and please delete it manually. And then I request you to install "AVG Internet Security" (http://files-download.avg.com/inst/mp/AVG_Internet_Security_742.exe). Please follow these instructions and let us know if the issue persists. Thank you.

What was the result? I have a T-mobile dongle and AVG gives me the same alert message. Do I allow it to do its stuff, or tell it to ignore?
