AVG is running 5 to 10 command line scans a day which constantly crash my computer. I have an XP Pro operating system. AVG reports that the scans are being launched by the System. This happens most often when viewing videos on You Tube but also happens elsewhere. Here's a typical scan report:
Command line scan
No infection was found during this scan
Scanned folders: c:\windows\temp\ics20.tmp
Started: 7/11/2014, 3:13:23 AM
Finished: 7/11/2014, 3:13:25 AM
Scanned items: 1
Launched by: SYSTEM
How do I stop AVG from doing these frequent command line scans that crash my computer?
Hi Frank,
Any chance you have Zone Alarm installed? If so please try uninstall it.
Thanks
