Command Line scan return values

Hi Libeesh,

We appreciate your patience.
The feature that you referred here is not available with the consumer edition of AVG.
It is available with our business edition and to know about it, refer this https://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?l=en&urlName=AVG-Command-line-update-and-scans&supportType=business link.
Thank you.

Hi Libeesh,

We're glad to help you with the info. Our expertise are limited to AVG.
If you'd like to check if a file is infected or not, you can install AVG free protection & run a scan.
The scan will notify you if there are any threats/infections found on your computer.
Alternately,  you'll be able to analyze a file, url in Virus Total page.
If you're considered about the C++ coding, we're afraid as we're uncertain about it.
Thank you for your understanding in advance!

Hello,

Please let me know how the command line code notify if there are any threats/infections found on a file?

I know the method to do command line scan ["C:\Program Files\AVG\Antivirus\ashCmd.exe"  "<filepath>"]. Is there any return value for this command line?

Thanks,
Libeesh

Hi,

I am writing a program in C++ to check whether a file is virus infected or not. I could successfully scan a file using 'ashCmd.exe' (using command line).

Example: "C:\Program Files\AVG\Antivirus\ashCmd.exe"  "<filepath>".

But I don't know how to check whether the file is virus infected or not. Please let know how to do this?

Thanks,
Libeesh
