Following several attempts to terminate a "free trial", today I received yet another email, obviously automated, completely lacking any acknowledgement of last week's and seeking the completion of the BPay process.
Here is my reply to avg.cs@digitalriver.com that turned out to be a "no-reply" address. Surprise! Surprise!
This order has been terminated by me. This was done over a week ago. Owing to complexities navigating your very difficult registration site, I terminated the offer on the first day.
This email has probably come to me because you do not adjust your automatic mailing lists promptly when you receive responses from the unfortunate folk like me who decide it is all too silly: if the website is so unresponsive, how can one expect the advertised product to be at all useful!
Further emails will be treated as pest mail. They hardly look like the advertised free trial.
The receipt of pest mail will be advised to the appropriate authorities.
