Thank you for you kind response, Carl West. I forgot to mention that I have lost a lot of capabilities including UNINSTALL or RESTORE TO PREVIOUS DATES. those buttons are dead and inaccesible.  my computer seemed to have been locked and I do not know where to begin!

Hey, have you tried just using the restore on your Windows PC computer to go back to a previous date when AVG was not installed yet? It can work. As adminstrator you should be able to UNinstall AVG and go back to get it from their website.
I believe there are some scams going on with AVG, (update pop-up for example) I only download a completely new version from the AVG website.
I have had trouble with that Drivers Update and that IS a scam! NEVER install it or you'll be trying to get rid of it again. (with restore?)  I had to use Search & Destroy to find it and then CC Cleaner to pin-point it where I was able to delete it for good.
AVG has been great but something is going on there right now.

First of all, I have been having a tough time contacting people who can really help me and answer the problems I incurred after I downloaded this program. And then, just when I thought that I finally got connected to a reliable AVG personnel, I was wrong!

This time around, the first first person who assisted me was Aswin from India (same person that I talked to last night to no avail)  who did a diagnostics to troubleshoot my problems. He said he could not resolve it so I was referred to another person, and then I was referred to another person again. Next thing you know, Aswin was harassing me to pay $240.00 for a 5-yr service that included a bunch of other extra enticing features. He  discussed w me in detail the problems I have w my computer ranging fr too many malwares and some viruses and other unneeded programs that need to be deleted, etc. I said I do not have the money so he lowered it to $149 for a 1-yr service plus 5 GB of back-up space.  Does AVG allow a third party to charge for this service?  These people did not even disclose to me that I was already  talking to a different company by the name of I-YOGI SUPPORT which I thought was just another company affiliated w AVG to assist w installing my software problems.  I only found out that I was talking w him again because he gave me his name and phone number when I asked for it. He was threatening me w phrases like:  my computer is in critical trouble and it has to be fixed right away,  to they are charging me way cheaper than what they charge in America (and I asked for comparisons which seemed them to be cheaper…but there is no cheap scam!); from "your computer has to be fixed right away", to "I can not guarantee that this rate will be the same when you call back" and " we have already talked for an hour and you will go through the same tedious process again next time",  and all those other things in-between.

My Computer is so messed up now than before I downloaded this antimalware program and I just need somebody who can show me how to fix this right.  There is nobody fr AVG who can genuinely assist me because the numbers they give are either call centers in some British accent country to Manila, to India who have been shuffling me around and giving one phone number to another back and forth, back and forth.

I just want to get my computer back to how it was before I downloaded AVG and I can take it fr there. I can not do anything anymore. I tried to download all the other programs that I lost before I had AVG, like Itunes and MagicJack but I seemingly have lost that capability in my computer when I scanned it through AVG. I could not even uninstall it anymore because I lost that feature.

Why does AVG not have a number for a real customer service if their off-country call center services messes up? I thought I was even chatting w a robot the first time because the other end was not answering my questions satisfactorily.

I want my computer back please! Give me some real phone numbers, not off-shore who could not give me the right assistance or scam me into paying them.  Thank you.
