I have the error Icon showing on my desk top, when I check the error it shows under computer update required. When I fix the problem I have pop up window almost instantly saying I am protected but the warning/ error does not go away. What do I do?

I can not get the new download to except my license number. It is running on a trial period. I am paid up for another year. I did not recieve or respond to the email that tells me how to fix that.

We can see the screenshots. You are using an older version of AVG for which virus definition updates have been stopped. We'd request to uninstall it and install the latest version of AVG Internet Security.
You can use the same license to activate the newer version. Click this link for instructions to install latest version of AVG.
It tells me to uninstall the older version but this is what I get. Also I tried to enter my license number into the new download to activate and it says it is invalid
