Hi Hal,
Thank you for contacting AVG Community.
This isn't the experience we want you to have. We'd like to look into this & help you.
Initially, we'd like to clarify that AVG will not install other AVG programs on a computer without the user consent.
However, upon checking our records, we see that you've already reached our live support through phone & your concern has been forwarded to our senior level support.
They'll investigate the issue & reach you via email at the earliest to proceed further. Please wait for an email from them.
Thank you in advance!
Apparently AVG installed secure VPN on my computer. This required accessing my computer and changing my system settings.
I have reported this and have been told to delete any information relating to this which will prevent any forensic investigation. "We kindly request you to uninstall AVG using the below uninstallation tool."
I noted that there have been attempts to access my banking information at various times since the software was installed and today I received a warning that someone is scanning my computer for open network ports.
Is there a way to get AVG to respond to this kind of attack on my computer that involves AVG software which was installed by AVG as though this was a serious issue?
