Computer blue screen

Hello Mark,
Thank you for reaching AVG Support Community.
I'm really sorry to know that you're facing this issue.
This is not the usual behaviour of AVG TuneUp.
I recommend you to restore your PC using "System restore".

Please follow the below steps to reset the PC :

  • Try to get into the Windows Recovery Environment (e.g. by holding the power button during the boot logo and forcing a hard shutdown, this will trigger the recovery environment).
  • If that does not work for the first time, then you need to hold down the power button during boot again.
  • After a few restarts, the Windows Recovery Environment started with the message “Recovery, It looks like Windows didn't load correctly”.
(Some manufacturers also allow enter to Win Re by pressing some special combination of keys, e.g. Dell after powering up press F8.)
  • Click on “See advanced repair options.
If you're being stuck in any above steps or getting any error message, please take a photo and post us here.

Thank you.

AVG tune up became annoying and would slow up my computer while I was trying to work. I tried to uninstall it and when my computer restarted it went to the blue screen and will not load windows. I tried safe mode but no programs show up. I went to command prompt and tried to bring up C: drive  ... says it corrupt and unreadable.
Is this the kind of product you deliver ? One that wrecks a hard drive if it’s uninstalled.
