How can I open the program runner_en.exe when Windows does not start?
An another hdd on my computer has linux operating system by which I am writing this message.

I have run AVG rescue CD in accordance with your instructions but it did not resolve the problem. Do I need some more detailed instructions?

When I select a more detailed breakdown of the error message I get out:

"AVG-Secure-Search-Update.exe
Error signature:
$zAppName: AVG-Secure-Search-Update_0915av.exe $zAppVer:7.15.10.3
$zModname: AVG-Secure-Search-Update_0915av.exe $zModVer:7.15.10.3
offset:0014094b"

Whether this is of any help.

How I can remove AVG? Does this help in this problem?

I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused to you. In this case, I would request you to try logging in your computer in "safe mode" and perform uninstalling the AVG. Once you are done with that please try installing the AVG program from AVG official website.

I have tried logging in my computer in "safe mode" but the result is the same.

My computer has OS Windows XP and I have installed for virus protection AVG free edition anti-virus software. The program is automatically updated as needed. Now there is a problem starting up the computer. When I switch on the computer I get the Windows login screen, but after a password entry there does not appear nothing but a blank screen. Operating system searches apparently my session opening options but is not able to open the session. After a while, to the screen will appear a message:

"AVG Secure Search-Update.exe
AVG Secure Search-Update.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. Sorry for the inconvenience."

I can not close AVG because Windows does not start.

Is the recently offered AVG update unsuitable for Windows XP? Do I have any way to get a previous version of AVG restored? What can be done? How can I close the AVG when the Windows does not start?
