Please can someone help? AVG suddenly blocks all my apps and I can’t open anything. When I try a deep scan, it freezes at 10% but when I try to close it says it is still running. Tried the AVG repair in the App but it didn’t do anything. Tried repairing via another route and it has brought back Apps but rest of screen is black

For better clarity share us the screenshot of black screen to which you refer & clarify how you managed to repair (another route).

I am using Windows 10 on an HP Pavillion laptop. AVG version 22.11.3261 (build 22.11.7716.759) Virus definition 221211-2
To find the Apps again, the only App I could get into was AVG. I had tried Windows Troubleshooting but that didn’t work. I could see from the AVG Menu that all the Apps were blocked on my computer. I went into AVG Settings –Troubleshoot- Reset to default, and that brought the Apps back into use again, but the screen displays are not visible, although they show in the Windows settings tab as on.
Furthermore, although I did get the Apps back at first, when I tried to do a Deep Scan in AVG, the program froze at 10% and all the Apps froze again!

Can you help please. I use my laptop all the time for meetings and when the computer crashed I was in the middle of a Zoom meeting which was very inconvenient.
