I have AVG free loaded on my laptop .this afternoon it automatically loaded an update gen said I should restart my computer I did that and received a blue screen showing "preparing windows Do not turn off computer" (it stayed like that for a hour and then went into my welcome screen . I put in my password and then got a black screen which is how it remains > I'm going to power down until I figure out the problem ! Any ideas !

I am sorry to hear that. Could you please let us know the version of AVG program in your computer and are you able to access Internet connection after booting your computer.? Does the desktop icons are flashing frequently after the windows updates?
