Ok I finally got some time to action this.

I removed AVG from both machines using the remover tool.  It looks like AVG was causing the network issues.

As soon as I removed AVG both machines stopped losing internet.

All,

I have 2 machines both protected with AVG.

They are both randomly dropping off the internet where the browser won't or cannot connect.

I can still ping and traceroute from them.

If I reboot they come back for a time before dropping off again

Other machines on the same network are fine.

I am wondering if we have a virus/rootkit of some kind as neither machine will go past 0% when trying to scan.

Any thoughts?

Tried that…

It doesn't fix the issue.

Popup - whole computer scan started.

0% 0 files scanned
