Hello Jeff,
I am sorry to know that you are facing the same issue.
Have you tried removing all the USB devices that is connected to your PC?
Hello,
I was wondering if someone could help me figure out a problem I am having with my computer at the moment.
Before this problem, I had an update on my computer which required me to restart multiple time (This update was before I got the option to log in on my computer) . I had left my computer and at some point when returning my computer was just a black screen. It was like this for a while so I went ahead and reset my computer. After this my computer turned on and after the original boot screen it loaded on the windows screen and then these lines of text appear on my screen:
InitLogger : LoadConfiguration() returns 0xe001003d
2016-10-02 20:01:56.947 Phase 0 : Starting Watch Dog Initialization :
[Date] [Time] Phase 0 : Loading config… (roots krnl, setup)
[Date] [Time] Phase 0 : Pre Initialization events.
[Date] [Time] Phase 0 : Creating Watch Dog dynamic key list.
[Date] [Time] Phase 0 : subsystems initialisation.
AvgMessageDispatcherClientLite: Initialize Get private logger failed: 0xe001003d
[Date] [Time] Phase 3 : releasing subsystems objects.
[Date] [Time] Phase 3 : releasing watch dog component.
[Date] [Time] Phase 3 : releasing cfg interfaces.
Here is where it stops and nothing happens afterwards. The [Date] [Time] sections actually show numbers resembling them, however I'm on my phone and it's a pain to type out all the numbers. If anyone could help I would greatly appreciate it, thanks.
I thought the forum should know what finally worked for me on this seemingly disasterous issue. As you may notice from a previous post I had acccessed the boot drive via a USB startup utility, Windows 10 install media would work if you don't mind using the DOS command line to rename a few things. At first I renamed the "\Program Files (x86)\AVG" folder to "AVG.old". This stopped the error message but the system would still not boot. I then found this thread, https://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?l=en&urlName=Disabling-AVG-when-Windows-cannot-start. After navigating to the "\Windows\system32\drivers" directory and renaming all AVG files, effectively disabling them, the system finally booted normally. I then used Windows "Programs and Features" to uninstall AVG and the AVG Remover to clean up any traces. Thanks for your previous attempts to help with this but I'm thinking this may need to be addressed by AVG more completely as most of the solutions put forth leaned toward recovery of an earlier version or reinstallation of Windows 10 and many of us know how time intensive and frustrating that can be.

Hello Cameron,
Please try to remove all Usb devices connected to your PC and restart the PC. Once after the restart PC check whether you could login into your PC in normal mode. Once after the restart we would request you to run AVG remover tool to completely remove AVG and then re install it.
Please click this link http://aa-download.avg.com/filedir/util/AVG_Remover.exe to download and run the AVG Remover tool.
1. Please select the AVG products which are shown in the remover tool window and then start removal process.
2. After the remover tool process is successfully finished, restart your computer.
3. After the restart, manually delete the AVG Remover folder in the C drive of My computer.
I am aware of Windows 10 recovery options. Since I did not mention Windows 10 before could other options be available with that new information? Thank you
I thought I had submitted the following but I do not see it as part of the thread so I wiil repeat. I have tried removing all USB devices. I would ask for opinions on the following. Eventhough I cannot boot the system I can access the boot drive via a USB startup utility. Theoretically I caould rename/disable the "\Program Files\AVG" directory/folder so that no AVG programs could load at boot. Any thoughts anyone? Thanks
Hello Jeff,
What happened with your computer reboot is really unfortunate. At this point there is one more thing which we can try, I request you to repair Windows startup using Windows installation media (https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/17101/windows-7-system-recovery-options).
Best regards,
Alok.
Thank you for the reply.
I tried starting the system using f8 by pressing f8 until I saw the windows loading screen, this didn't work. Then I tried using the alternative instructions however it only gives me options at the sign in screen, which I cannot get to currently.
I was wondering if there is another way to start the pc in safe mode with networking other than the options I mentioned above.
Thanks again.
Jeff,
I appreciate your efforts and taking time to post the suggestions here. I will take your feedback and escalate it to our developers. They will work on it in upcoming updates.
Thank you.
