Conflicting anti-virus programs

Hi Barry,
If you are using more than one anti-virus products on your computer and experience issues with malware detection or system performance, we recommend uninstalling the conflicting product.

It is generally not recommended to use more than one security solution on a single system. They will compete for resources, which may result in slowdowns, crashes or in no protection at all.

Hi
I have had AVG for several years. My current computer came with McAffy and I installed Malwarebytes on the recommendation of a friend a year or two ago. Malwarebytes no longer works. I get the message "Unable to connect the Service." Malwarebytes support say I should remove AVG because this may be causing the problem.

Views appreciated.
