Thank you for your response, I was actually going to do just that…but I was not sure if it was safe because when my computer said downloading things that were not from the store was not safe. Also it asked if I wanted McAfee to make changes to my hard drive. It did not say anything about it being a removal tool. So it is OK to do this?
Patrica, Download & run the McAfee removal tool (http://us.mcafee.com/apps/supporttools/mcpr/mcpr.asp).

Franca, the provided McAfee remover tool link (http://us.mcafee.com/apps/supporttools/mcpr/mcpr.asp) is correct. Please click on the link to download the file, run that and follow the desktop instruction to complete the McAfee remover tool process. If you need any further assistance in removing McAfee then I request you to contact McAfee technical support and they will help you to remove their product completely.
Best regards,
Alok.
