I am writing to seek clarification regarding two significantly different renewal offers I received.
Recently, I received an email offering a renewal for 720 THB (discounted from 1,190 THB, a 39% saving). This email provided a direct link to a checkout page.
However, my AVG Dashboard (In-app) shows a completely different price: $46.68 USD (approx. 1,720 THB), discounted from the original $77.99 USD per year.
The price difference is more than double, which makes me very concerned about the legitimacy of the email. Is the 720 THB email offer a genuine regional promotion for Thailand, or is it a phishing scam? Furthermore, if it is a legitimate regional offer, why does the AVG platform itself provide me with the Global/International pricing instead of my local regional rate?
I have hesitated to renew my subscription due to this lack of clarity and security concerns. I would appreciate it if you could verify these offers and explain why there is such a massive discrepancy.
