I Don't even like to get on my laptop/tablet (laplet) since I had to find my own antivirus due to my internet provider drop having Norton's protection in January. Made worse was thinking I'd try free AVG like my mother used until her death in 2008. As I got to researching all the features I could afford, I found a sweet deal for AVG Internet Security + Tune up for up to 10 devices for $63 a year so I went for it after struggling finding the $ to buy it. For many days I was bombarded with AVG ads to use their other products like driver updater, breach guard etc. I even went through and customized Tune Up for a scheduled scan or two. Then I finally had the time to sit down and really do some deep tune up scans, only to find out my payment was just for Internet security and Tune up was just a two week trial and in a moment of fog, I agreed to a yearly subscription for Tune up for an additional $30 a year (already paid the $63 for both I thought). For nearly $100 a year? Not cool, I would have gone with Norton's somehow for that $. So I got a refund for the Tune up and barely get on my laplet anymore, it's just a constant reminder of being duped. Every time AVG opens on my PC, I'm constantly offered to run their other products, and they're free to scan, but then prompted to buy a yearly subscription to fix/resolve issues! On my android, I guess I'm running the free version as I have both internet/tune up, on it but I thought I was simply adding a 2nd of 10 available devices. I'm very disappointed with all of this and feel duped. I won't be renewing any AVG subscriptions. On their login page, they advertise as little as $40 for Internet security and Tune-up sold separately. I hope others will not be tricked into this shenanigans like I was.
