Please try to use a different web browser like Google Chrome of Microsoft Edge to verify the issue.
You could also try to connect to a different VPN server location in AVG Secure VPN and check.
I can see that this is a common problem,although it has been working for a year or two previously - flawlessly as I perceive it - my avg vpn stopped working suddenly a couple of weeks ago, I got this error message ;
Secure Connection Failed
An error occurred during a connection to www.google.com. PR_END_OF_FILE_ERROR
The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified.
Please contact the web site owners to inform them of this problem.

It happened very soon after a recent firefox browser update. I am not sure if there is a connection, correlation is not necessarily causation so in case it was I made changes to counteract the apparent effects of this recent updates settings that might have effected the avg vpn - still it made no difference, I still received teh same error message as previous;y mentioned. What to do? Well I uninstalled the VPN programme and then reinstalled it. No joy, still the same error messages.
Any further suggestions to get the AVG vpn working again folks? Many thanks, will post back if anything works by the way. Cheers, James
