Hello Trevor,
I am sorry to hear that. Please follow the below steps and check if that fix the issue:
Please open the AVG Internet Security installed in your computer and click on Menu->Settings->Components->Firewall->Customize->Change the application settings from "Auto Decide to "Allow". Once this is done, click on "Network Profile(Left side of the interface) and change the profile to "Private" if selected in "Public".
If the issue persists, please run AVG repair(avgclick.me/RepairAVG) from your computer control panel and check if that fix the issue. If you face any difficulties, feel free to contact us.
I am running AVG Ultimate and Microsoft Outlook as part of Office 2010. I have two email accounts set up in Outlook, one of which is Gmail. The two accounts use the same connection settings - port numbers, SSL required for both incoming and outgoing messages.
If I switch Scan SSL connections ON in AVG Internet Security/Menu/settings/components/email protection/customise, the connection to gmail fails with a reported error == (0x800CCC0E) :Error: Cannot connect to the server == although my other account continues to work. This error occurs using both POP and IMAP.
If I switch scan SSL connections OFF, both accounts can send and receive, but does that mean my emails are not being scanned?
The port settings in Troubleshooting/redirect settings are correct. There would seem to be a specific security/connection requirement of Google's email servers that is not compatible with AVG's SSL connection scanning. Anyone have any suggestions, please?
