You may experience a slower internet connection when using AVG Secure VPN. It is normal that VPN might slow down the internet speed as it has to connect to our VPN servers, go through secure tunnels, encrypt and decrypt all data sent and received. It can depend on the distance of your location and VPN server to which you are connected, routing between your ISP and our VPN servers, your internet speed, a protocol which you are using (encryption), current load of the server to which you would like to connect, and so on. This process may cause a slightly slower, but safer, internet connection.
We'd recommend you to change your AVG Secure VPN location to an optimal location/ Streaming location like Miami, wonderland, Gotham city, etc and check the status.

I am subscribing to your VPN service, starting today.
When I have the service active, it cuts my internet connection speed by 50%, both upload and download. I checked it a few times. As soon as I disable it, my speed goes back to normal.
how do i fix this ?
