OK, tried that and still not connecting (there was a large list of possible items) I was in this area before and the only item that was most likely to be the problem had a copy (2) buth were already set to private.
I cannot connect to my TV through my "Telstra TV" from my PC unless AVG Ultimate is protection (firewall) is turned off.
Once AVG is off or the firewall is disabled I can connect to the TV and display the PC's screen on the TV.
Is there a setting in the firewall area that will allow my PC's screen to be displayed on my TV without turning off the AVG protection ?.
You are most welcome, Allan.
In this case, we have to analyze the root cause and fix it.
To proceed with that, we request you to get connected with our additional support.
An email instruction has been sent which will help you to get connected with them.
If the email is not found in inbox do check in spam and junk folders.

Thanks Balasubramanian. Ive been through the settings for the firewall before and gave up after no setting was found to fix the problem.
Thank you for checking that, Allan. Let us try the other method.
Please open AVG Internet Security program window.
Click on "Menu–>Settings–>Full protection–>Enhanced Firewall–>System Rules".
Enable the "allow remote desktop connection to this computer" and "Windows file and printer sharing" option.
Click on Ok and check the status with the TV.
Keep us apprised.
