Hi Cooper,
We understand your difficulty.
Let me clarify this to you.
AVG Ultimate is the combination of AVG Internet security and AVG TuneUp. Further you also have a AVG Secure VPN.
Unfortunately, we cannot get all the products under a single icon or application. Each program has its own features.
We could also see that you are getting popups from the AVG program.
You can opt out from receiving the campaign pop ups in AVG Internet Security settings.
Open AVG Internet Security, click Menu -> Settings -> General -> Personal Privacy. Uncheck 'Show offers for other AVG products', 'Shows offers for 3rd party products' and click OK to save the settings.
Do you have the AVG Secure Browser installed in your computer?
Keep us posted.
Having been a customer for some time, I have all kinds of "left over" old icons and program remnants on my computers. I am also seeing inconsistency on different platform (desktop, laptop, etc) especially where VPN keeps going off or not on with restart.
The "pop up" and "add on" services are getting to be too much. I thought (am fairly sure) that buying Ultimate and VPN gave me most or all of these things already. I am a regular customer and don't need to be "sold" over and over and given all of these "warning" messages. It's just annoying.
Is there an easy way to consolidate all AVG operations that I have and get rid of the constant sales reminder "pop ups" that seem to appears regularly. Will a reinstall stop any of this?
