I have a Threat secured pop-up appearing all the time. I have followed the steps suggested in the forums. I have cleared temp files (although there were some file that could not be deleted). I have run AVG clear, uninstalled the programme, run AVG removerand downloaded AVG again. This has not worked. What can I do?
I m getting this now. I have cleared and removed AVG, then reinstalled. its still happening. It stops email coming in. clearly an AVG issue.
are you going to fix it or am i going to have to install Avast instead?
I am also having this problem. How can I get the pop up to go away. I have a paid subscription and will cancel AVG if I cant fix this.
I'm using AVG AntiVirus Free and it is completely up-to-date.
Today I have started getting continuous "Threat secured!" pop-ups, despite running 2 full computer scans and ensuring the virus database was up-to-date. The pop-ups only occur while I'm running Microsoft Outlook 2013. I've been using this combination of AVG and Outlook for a looooong time, so this is a new issue.
The AVG pop-up shows the following:
Threat secured!
We've safely locked this file in your quatantine.
VBA:Downloader-FCJ(Trj]
in …bedded:PDF-Object]|WORD\VBApROJECT.BIN
G:\Microsoft Office\Office14\OUTLOOK.EXE
More threats may be lurking!
Scan Computer CLOSE
I've chosen Scan Computer and nothing was found. If I close, the pop-up appears again, and again, and again …
So, how do I get rid of the offending "threat", despite the fact that AVG says it has dealt with it, or how do I stop AVG constantly popping up this message?
Thanks.

I have the same problem
This pops up constantly despite running scans, closing apps, even tried turn-it-off-and-on-again
Also stays on top
Getting very irritating
I'm sorry to hear about this. We could do this definitely better with your cooperation. Please share a screenshot of the AVG detection to assist you further. You can check the following link to see the instructions about taking the screenshot (http://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=How-to-create-a-screenshot).
Best regards,
Alok.
I understand the inconvenience.
Whenever a threat popup appears from AVG, it is not recommended to reinstall the program proactively.
It is necessary for us to analyze the detected threat.
Please provide the screenshot of AVG threat detection window to assist further.

May I know whether you are using the free or trial or paid version of AVG?
are you going to fix it or am i going to have to install Avast instead?
The pop up says the email has been quarantined so I would not expect to be able to find it.
My question was, why doe I keep getting the pop up once it has been quarantined? It has been constant for 4 days.
And now, when I open AVG, I get a blank screen:
This pops up constantly despite running scans, closing apps, even tried turn-it-off-and-on-again
Also stays on top
Getting very irritating
