Hello Douglas,
We are sorry to know that. This issue generally occurs when you use Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox. This issue can happen due if these browsers have lower securitty protocol set. You can check this link for more information on this error http://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=Threat-of-using-vulnerable-or-unsupported-protocols.
Thank you
Anytime a browser is opened to any page including avg.com, avg immediately starts reporting blocking "Vulnerable or unsupported protocol" "127.0.0.1". When "more info" link is selected, the http://www.avgthreatlabs.com says "Generic Virus". AVG is reporting so many of these “problems” that we can’t even use Google search at times (it comes back saying connection unavailable which I know is not true because I can reach other sites by typing in their URL directly. What’s going on and how do we stop AVG from behaving like a virus itself? Thanks
