Meanwhile, please check whether the mentioned website is set as homepage on your Edge browser.
To check this : Open Edge - Click on Menu (3 dots at right corner) - Settings - Scroll down to 'Open with' section & check the page that is set to open at startup.

I have this imgsync.com popping up at edge startup. it looks to be asking to download something. how can I get rid of this trojan virus
You do not have to worry about it when there is not threat detection from the AVG regarding this.

new computer, I only use the edge browser. no message from avg about this just the emails telling me a new reply.
