Contacting AVG Customer Care

Hello Bren,

Yes, key-logging applications will be detected and removed by AVG Antivirus/Internet Security.

Problem is AVG is under EU jurisdiction, NordVPN isn't.  We would have negotiations with say the EU in Brussels and other administrations, hence the concern.

As I understand, TOR protects from source so 'the spy' couldn't find out what sites I browsed from my end.  While my IP address may be on the siute I browsed, they would have to search all the sites out there to know which ones I was on.

I see AVG has a business version - what does that do that my current version doesn't?

I wonder does  AVG eliminate Keylogging - i.e. where someone might track key strokes to find out what you were typing?

Brendan, our AVG Secure VPN product will help to mask the IP address. Hence, anyone who tries to hack your data, they will not be able to achieve it when they do not know the actual IP address.
In-case, if someone knows the actual IP address of your connection and if you have enabled AVG Secure VPN on the computer, then they will not be able to hack your device as the IP address will be different whne you have our VPN active.
If you do not have VPN enabled, then there are chances for them to hack the data when they know the actual IP address.
Regarding TOR browser, it is used to browse the internet anonymously which can actually protect the online privacy.
Hence, though you use a TOR browser, it will not be able to prevent the hack when the actual IP address is already known.

So nobody can infiltrate the firewall under any circumstances?  Is this absolutrely guaranteed?  Are you an AVG staff member?
