Hi, I am able to access most sites, what I am not able to access is the redirected page when I go on a website to download a file (mostly exe). An example of the routine: I type in zamana.com in the address bar and the above picture pops up (threat secured) however, the website still loads. Then I click on download, the website redirects me to the download script (the one that makes the exe download) and then avg stops it and another threat secured windows pops up. This also happens when I connect to an authentication-required network, the mfs-test script is stopped by avg. While I am adding steam… to the exception list, this is happening to almost every website.

Hi,
I have just bought this laptop and am using AVG free as main protection. It has been continuously finding HTML:Script-inf for almost all sites I visit. Some examples come from when installing Steam and if I go on certain forums. It has also been blocking downloads such as Zemana Antimalware Portable, it blocked the page that loads before the download. Are these some kind of false positives or is my pc infected? Thanks
Thank you for the screenshot.
We have received the log files. Our senior team will anlayse the logs and contact you via email with a solution.
Thank you for the info, Daniele.
It seems to be a false positive. You can add steam and sites to the exception list.
Also, we request you to submit the form : https://www.avg.com/en-us/false-positive-file-form to our devlopers team where they will check and work on it.
Open AVG Antivirus free -> Menu -> Settings -> General -> Exception -> add exception here.
Are you able to access those sites when AVG is disabled? Right click on AVG icon under system tray next to clock, click on toggle bar to turn on/ off protection.
Thank you for the detailed information.
We have sent an email with steps on how to collect and send us the log files.
Once we receive that information, will escalate to concern team for analysis.
Provide the screenshot of AVG version window here which is actually necessary for this process.
To check the version, open AVG Antivirus free, click on "Menu–>About".
