I am continually being disconnected from the internet due to AVG VPN, I turned it off and then it decided to come back on on it's own. I finally just unsubscribed to keep this from happening. I am in several Zoom meetings etc and it is imperative that I have a decent internet connection. I am tired of the connection being interrupted due the the VPN connecting and disconnecting during a meeting.

Could you check if Kill Switch is enabled in AVG Secure VPN settings?
Open AVG Secure VPN, click Settings (Gear icon).
Then select "Network Security' tab and untick 'Enable Kill Switch'.
