Continuous Restart notification on PAID version of AVG Internet Security 2014

Hi Alan or anyone who can help
I'm commenting here as I'm having a similar problem and am unsure how to post my own problem.
The other day I renewed my AVG subscription and upgraded from AVG 2012 to AVG 2014. On opening AVG 2014 I either get a message telling me that a restart is needed to complete protection or that there are no active components. Also each component (Computer, Web Browsing, Identity, Emails, Firewall) says Driver not found, Not Active, Disabled, Not fully Functional and Error respectably.
I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, repairing, your above suggestion, and various others but nothing works. How can I AVG to function properly?
Thanks

I have the paid version of AVG Internet Security 2014.  For the past week, I have been notified to restart my computer for updates to take effect.  These notifications occure every 15-30 minutes.  My AVG dashbaord shows that everything is secure and up to date.  Why do I keep getting restart notifications and how can I make it stop while keeping my PC secure?  Thank you.
