I can't seem to connect to my LG K20+ from my Windows 7 PC anymore, or my older Windows XP machine. The older one I was able to connect with about 3 weeks ago, it's been a couple of months for the newer machine but it worked fine.
Now when I plug it in it's like plugging it into a wall charger. I get the lightening bolt but that's it. No USB connection. I've tried 3 different cords (2 of which I know worked for data transfer) and different USB ports but no luck.
It is possible that AVG might have turned off USB/MTP access for some reason?
Thank you for the screenshot.
If you suspect AVG is causing this issue, you can disable AVG temporarily on your computer and check.
To disable AVG temporarily, please right click on the AVG icon present at the bottom right corner of your desktop(System Tray) and you can see a scroll bar to "Disable Protection". Please click on the same to disable AVG Protection and check if you are able to access this application.
Marc,
This shouldn't be happening. However, please disable AVG Antivirus by right clicking on AVG icon in system tray next to clock->then turn off AVG protection and check if your USB port works fine.
Thank you for the detailed information.
AVG will never block this USB ports.
When you connect your phone to PC using an USB cable, you will receive a prompt in your mobile with an option to use this connection for charging or data transfer.
Please select data transfer from your mobile device and check if you are able to establish the connection.
