Let us explain this for you.

If your payment card has been blocked, has expired or will expire before the charge takes place, we will notify you via email. The email includes a button for manual renewal during which you can provide new payment details or select a different payment method.

If you do not wish your subscription to be automatically extended, make sure that you cancel the auto-renewal. In general, an expired card may not prevent future charges. Your payment card may have a card updater service enabled, which keep your payment card information current for merchants in case you get a new card number or expiration date changes.

We haven't received any payments recently. Have you got charged for AVG?

How has AVG managed to obtain details of my credit card issued just one week ago?  I have not given anyone the details.

This isn't the experience we want you to have, Tony. 

Usually AVG provides pop ups for other AVG products, in order to improvise/personalize the existing program. However, it also allows us to manage/disable those notifications. 
To do so : Open AVG - Menu - Settings - General - Personal privacy - Uncheck 'Show pop up offers for our other products'.

In order to help you with your account, please let us know if you've purchased any AVG program using your alternate email address. Reason being, we're unable to find any subscriptions under the email address that you've used to reach us.

I do not wish to have AVG.  I get constant pop ups offering to resolve "issues", but wanting more money.  I also do not want AVG to try and bill any new card I have.
