We would like to inform you that it is not common after AVG update.
We need to analyze it and determine the exact issue.
Could you please uninstall AVG and check if you have issues with rebooting your computer?

I recently ran an update scan of all files on my computer and on requested Restart this process did not successfully restart.
I am running Windows 10 on a one year old HP Laptop. When the restart fails I get a standard set of options from HP to - Restart or Advance Options. After several failed restarts I went into Advance Options but that is just showing me Restart or Turn off or Back up and Reboot.
Is this a common problem and is there a solution other than rebuilding my whole system (which I have never done before).
Any advice would be appreciated.
