Hello,
by your false\positive 9 computers in my infrastructure are no more actives.
Customers tried to fix manually the allert by AVG tool deleting lots of infected files (a lots of sistem files, Windows 7 64b)
Now all computers dont reboot, tring a system recovery the sistuation has been mitigated only over 7 computers, last 2 are R&D computers with a lot of data not backup.
At the moment i can only use DOS Prompt by system restore utility, does AVG has a walktrought procedure to roll back deleted files? Do you have any kind of procedure to fix this situation?
My IT business unit is planning to switch to SEP after this fault.
Many Thx
Yes, having the same issue with several customers, I'm guessing it's a false positive but would like confirmation from AVG please?
Hey all
Is anyone else having problems with a "cryptbase.dll" getting flagged? I've used loads of other online scanners - including the one starting with Kasp… and they all come up clean…
Is anyone else having this problem? This has come from the update from this mornings definitions at 9:30ish. It also reporting a lot of other files like drivers are all being reported as the same "Linux/minor"
Any help would be awesome, thanks!
James

Hi all. I have seen that there are several posts today about the false positive "Could be a potentially unwanted application Linux/Miner", but they have all been related to the file cryptbase.dll - I have received the same message in a scan result, but for a different file (netr7364.sys) - I wanted to check, is this just another example of the same false positive?
