Alan,

I hope you understand why I must express my extreme dissatisfaction. AVG Family Safety is not freeware - I paid for it, and am entitled to reasonably timely technical support.

I'd understand if AVG wanted to take the day off on Christmas Day, or New Year's Day, but being stuck without Internet access for up to three weeks because AVG is "honoring the holidays" is not an acceptable answer.  Furtherware, my problem is not an unusual or complicated one. All I want to do is uninstall AVG Family Safety, when it will not accept my valid administrative credentials. There must exist, somewhere in AVG, a set of applicable instructions that won't take anyone more than 60 seconds to forward to me as a start.

It almost looks as if AVG intends to put "honoring the holidays" ahead of honoring its commitment to its paying customers. I sincerely hope that someone at AVG will care enough about my current predicament to contact me right away.

TO: AVG Technical Support: Please send uninstall instructions ASAP for AVG Family Safety for Vista. I have no Internet access at all.

The uninstallation process won't accept my administrative credentials, although I can log in to familysafety.avg.com from another computer using those very same credentials.

I filled out a technical support ticket with details of my problem, requesting phone support and authorizing you to work with a more technically knowledgeable friend (who is also writing this on my behalf) , but got I no acknowledgement of my issue, only a welcome e-mail that directed me here.
