I have encoutered the same problem. And the issue is not just one but multiple, on a new computer!
This bomb is not only found on Microsoft apps but also on files. I am really worried about this coz my computer had considerable slowed down which had prompted me to do the boot scan. Can you please help?
Hi Karen,
We're glad to clarify this for you.
From your description, it seems that the file reported is a zip file.
And the scan report doesn't mean that it is malicious. The zip file/folder might not be available to scan at startup.
MS Edge being a legit program & an inbuilt app, you'll not be able to uninstall it.

I've done a boot-time scan and got:
File C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft\Edge\Application\84.0.522.59\Installer\msedge.7z|>:WofCompressedData Error 42110 {The file is a decompression bomb.}
This isn't in quarantine, would it be a dodgy file? (I can't uninstall Microsoft Edge)
Any ideas?
Thanks
Hi Dinesh,
I forgot to mention that the error message didn't show a couple of weeks ago when I did previous boot-time scan, but maybe a Windows update has added something since then, so I won't worry about it.
Thanks very much for your help.
Our pleasure, Karen. Thank you for updating the status. Have a great day. Stay safe!
