Thank you for clariying, Alfred.
Please let us know the version of AVG (Open AVG - Menu - About) & operating system installed on your computer.
Also, clarify whether you use any VPN services.

Still having problems.
Made a speedtest on fast.com on my laptop. It indicates a speed of 67 mbps. Did the same test on my handy and that indicates 280 mbts. I als used the test  from my provider and it shows almost the same result as mentioned above. Very slow laptop, high speed handy. But also Ownit indicates heavy traffic untill I shut down my laptop. But stll AVG detects nothing …

Thank you for providing us the info, Alfred.
If you prefer, please uninstall the VPN service once to check the performance. Additionally, you can uninstall AVG Internet Security to check.
For better clarity, share us the screenshot of the speed test at both instances (with VPN, AVG removed & reinstalled).
If required, you can follow the steps in this article to uninstall, reinstall AVG.

The version is:
22.1.3219 (versie 22.1.6921.710)
220307-4
24,898,910
1.0.650

I am using windows 10

Also using NordVpn. But there is no difference wether using or not using Vpn.

I don't get it. My laptop is incredible slow specially while connecting to the Internet. My provider indicates very heavy traffic. Looks like my laptop is being used as one in a botnet? AVG detects nothing. So what now?
