Define "Unresolved"

Hello Rolf,
Sorry to hear about the inconvenience caused. If the status is unresolved, the file has not been quarantined. Please go ahead and add the file to exceptions list as described in http://avgclick.me/AddException . Thank you.

What does "unresolved" mean?

Here's a typical line from AVG AntiVirus 2016.0.7442 free results:
"";"Potentially unwanted application HackTool.ANCC, C:\Users\Administrator\Downloads\nirsoft_package_1.19.73.zip";"Unresolved";"File or Directory";"2/21/2016, 1:27:03 PM"

I'm helping an elderly relative via email who has difficulty following my instructions. She can't tell me whether the nirsoft_package_1.19.73.zip file is or is not in the Virus Vault.

If "Unresolved" is merely advisory, I can tell her to ignore the message, and I will add this file name to the Excluded list next time I visit her (300 miles away). If "unresolved" means that the ZIP file was moved into quarantine, I will need to tell her how to restore from Virus Vault (or wherever unresolved files get moved to).

I searched this forum for "unresolved" but none of the hits I saw say what happens to unresolved files and folders.

She is using 64-bit Win8.1 with current virus definitions.

Thank you for your help.

Rolf
