Using Disk Fragmentation on TuneUp. The Maintenance dial runs around to about 10 o'clock, with 438.84 MB cleaned, and hangs at that point. Any ideas?

I certainly understand the inconvenience this may have caused. Are you running the disk defragmentation as one of the tasks in maintenance scan? If yes, please cancel the scan and run the defragmentation manually as suggested below.
1.Open AVG PC Tune Up.
2.Click on All Functions.
3.Select Defragment disk under Hard disks.
4.Select Next and then choose Run fast defragmentation.
5.Click Next.
I would also suggest you to further exclude the defragmentation task from general maintenance scan as it is not required regularly. To change these settings, please follow the steps below:
1. Open AVG PC Tune Up.
2. Click on Settings.
3. Select 1-click maintenance scan on the left pane menu.
4. Uncheck Disk defragmentation on the right side.
5. Click Ok and Apply.
