Defragmentaion stuck for hours

Thank you for your answer, althoigh to be honest I had run the defragmentation independently already, just hadn't clicked it off from the maintenance menu. The latter though did allow for maintenance to be competed.
That having been said, we all choose to pay for a service and we expect at least the main features to work properly and/or any issues to be resolved permanently by the company, since from what I have seen here a lot of customers experienced the same issues, and not simply bypassed.
If your programmers are not good enough to fix something like this permanently, what does this say about their ability to lrovide the servoce we actually pay them for, ie protect us?

I understand the inconvenience. Disk defragmentation is a feature which helps us to store all the files in a single location to increase the speed of the search and performance of the computer. The scan depends on the number of files located in the drives and the disk space. Normally this process would take some time as it scans the entire disk to defragment the files.

I suggest you cancel the process of defragmentation on AVG PC Tuneup main interface and right click on the settings icon (maintenance feature) skip the defragmentation option. Now, go to All functions feature( last component) -> Hard Disk -> Defragment Disk. Select the driver and choose "run a fast defragmentation". It will show you the time frame of the process. Please wait till the process gets completed.
Feel free to let us know if you require any further assistance.
Thank you.

Hello.

I recently purchased a subscription for the AVG Tune Up and the defragmentation simply fails to  complete and goes on for hours and hours. Also the indication at the maintenance keeps saying hat it hasn't been completed for 14 days…Can you please provide a solution to this inconvenience?

I understand how difficult this is for you. Please be informed that this might have caused due to conflict issue. Restarting the disk defrag process might have fixed this issue. We suggest you to re run the disk defrag and see if it runs correctly in your computer.
