Delayed AVG at Sign On –
I use AVG Free from AOL. 
Some time ago I clicked on a Setting to delay the AVG activating at Sign On.  I need to revisit that setting, but don’t remember how to find it.
Can you give me the steps to get to that Setting?

Hello Bharath –
When I restart (not Sign On) my computer all of my computer’s resources start to




load and the desk top icons begin to appear.
There is an AVG setting that delays the start of loading the restart resources for AVG. I don’t remember how the setting was named.  In the past, using that option I was able to delay AVG from loading during restart by selecting a delay option for AVG.

If it is Windows XP or vista, please navigate through the following path to configure the settings: Open AVG > Menu > Settings > Troubleshooting > Check the option 'Load AVG Services only after loading other system services'.

I do not see the box "Delay AVG Startup.”  My software version is 18.8.3071

Thank you for the detailed explanation, Jerry.
The option that you refer is still available with our latest version.
Open AVG antivirus free program window.
Click on "Menu–>Settings–>General–>Troubleshooting".
Click on the box that says "Delay AVG Startup" to enable this feature.
It is not recommended to enable this feature as the protection service will start running only after the computer services.
Please use this with caution.

We are uncertain of the other delayed box you are referring to, as there is only one option to delay AVG Internet Security service startup.
If you locate the other setting again, please provide us the screenshot of the same and we will assist you further.

Hello Priyanga -
My system is Vista.
I do have the box, “Load AVG Services only after loading other system services.”

Now, that being said, as I mentioned, I do remember clicking on a box that gave me the choice to delay loading in time increments.  That is the box I cannot find now.  I have no idea where it went.

1. Do I have the correct version to find that box?

2. So, is the box I can now get, my only choice of delaying loading?
